Frequently Asked Questions

  • The type, size, complexity, and number of paintings in your order will determine how long to expect your painting to be completed. Lead time will vary, but typically:

    • Fine art wedding painting and custom acrylic painting: minimum 4-8 weeks.

    • Pet portrait acrylic painting, pet ornaments: 1-3 weeks.

    • Watercolor portraits/illustrations: 3-7 days.

    • House portraits: 1-3 weeks.

  • That’s amazing! I am pleased to announce I am now offering a combination of live wedding painting (fine art acrylic painting of the newlywed/couple) AND watercolor guest illustrations.

  • I generally take bookings 3 to 9 months in advance, but may have last-minute availability!

  • Yes, a signed contract is required for all bookings, and are handled via HoneyBook.

    Bookings are not considered secured until a contract is signed by both parties, and retainer/initial deposit are received.

  • For live painting, a retainer/deposit of 30% is required. The remaining 70% is due by 1 month prior to your event (although payment can be made sooner if you wish).

    For custom artwork orders over a certain dollar amount, a 50% deposit may be required in order to start the project.

  • For custom artwork and live painting, I currently accept Venmo, PayPal, SquareUp, and on specific occasion Zelle. For local deliveries for custom artwork orders I can also accept cash and credit/debit card.

    All bookings for live painting made starting in February 2025 will now be handled on Honeybook.

    I do not accept cash or checks for live painting at this time.

  • Yes, I can ship artwork! Depending on artwork size/weight, shipping address, insurance/tracking, and standard/priority shipping, this added expense may be anywhere from $5 to $75+.

    For local deliveries I offer porch pick-up or a meeting location in or near Brighton, MI at no additional expense.

  • Yes I will travel to your venue for live painting. Travel included for certain radius from my home address. Outside this radius, a travel policy may apply at this time, and requires your event venue address for accurate quoting.

    This additional fee, on top of the base package, may include:

    • Gas mileage reimbursement, calculated round-trip at the current federal rate in the year that the booking takes place

    • Travel accommodation reimbursement (1 or 2 nights)

    • An hourly minimum package (for guest illustrations).

    • Certain locations requiring flying or multi-day travel may incur a flat rate fee.

  • Yes, I offer payment plans when requested.

    Please note that the total amount for live painting packages will be due in full by 1 month prior, with exceptions at my discretion.

    The total amount for custom artwork must be received in full prior to delivery or shipping of the artwork. Fee schedules may be implemented for larger projects that require more time and are dependent on schedule availability and weather conditions (e.g., window art, murals).
